  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in apple and nuts. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Cut into bars.

Delicious, except I cooked it for 25 minutes and it was still very mushy inside. Can probably handle 30-35 minutes. But it tasted really good.

These were nice. I used 1/4 wheat flour, and regular oats for fiber, and added extra apples--all fine improvements. But they need something for eye appeal, and confectioners sugar doesn't do it....
