All boullian is salty. I looked for the vegeta in line and they have it. I also found a recipe to make your own. 8.8oz of dehydrated carrot,3TBLSP of tumeric,2TBLSP of garlic powder, and 5TBLSP of iodized sea salt. Pulse in ginder. I highly recommend using the sea salt as store brands of alleged iodized salt are no longer what they used to be. And the addition of Tumeric is a powerhouse of healthy ingredient.

I just made this. Instead of ham, i had some home made prosuitto that someone had given me, and vegeta instead of the chicken bouillon. I knew the prosuitto would be salty and the vegeta. so i did not ad d any more salt, plus i limited how much prosuitto i added. It turned out great! simple recipe for comfort food.

I made this tonight...looked so good! Just tooooooo much salt! Not sure if it was the chicken granules or the additional salt called for in the recipe, but it was very salty! I will make it again and cut the salt by 2/3.....otherwise good flavor and consistency. I served it with cheese biscuits and a Spinach/Apple /almond salad with a cider vinaigrette.

This is a great recipe..I made no changes at all. The first time I try a new recipe I follow it completely..then if I make it again I add changes. But this recipe is delicious by just following the recipe..no changes needed. I made it for lunch for the guys at our shop..they all loved it.

I have been using this recipe for about a year. Everyone loves it. I make it often for my family and groups. I use Fat-Free Half and Half. Wonderful.

This is the best potato soup recipe ever. I've been making this for a couple years now. It's one of my family's favorite. I double the recipe. And make the following changes. I saute my vegetables in olive oil. I cut back on the butter and add more milk to the roux as it's thickening. I also cook the potatoes in the pot with 1/2 chicken stock and 1/2 water. Sometimes I add a small amount of real bacon bits for some added flavor. Also sprinkle in chopped parsley. It is yummy :)

Will have to try this one for sure. Sounds yummy but fat city . Will make some changes like add a mashed potato for thickening in place of butter and flour.I think I will try it with chicken broth in place of water.
