How to Make Salmon in Parchment

Watch Chef John make moist salmon fillets baked in parchment paper. Maybe the best thing about baking fish in parchment paper is you can also cook your vegetables right alongside your main dish—it’s a complete meal in a bag! In this video, Chef John cooks blanched asparagus and potatoes with his salmon fillet. You’ll see how to prepare the baker's parchment paper so that it acts almost like a roasting pan. This is a very simple preparation and a great cooking method for using fresh herbs. And clean-up will be just about the easiest task ever. You’ll also see how to fold and crimp your parchment so it holds in the hot air. See how it’s done! Watch the video, then get the recipe for Chef John’s Salmon in Parchment.

I am just starting to experiment more with parchment. This looks amazing.

This salmon looks delicious, but I would not use bleached(white) parchment paper. I use unbleached(brown) for health reasons.

Love how easy this is and that you can include veggies and potatoes too! I usually broil my salmon, but will be trying parchment next time!
