These pancakes are awesome! My husband and grands love them..I also add about 1/4 c. more milk to thin a little. This recipe also makes great waffles. Thx

I've made a similar recipe for a long time, although my recipe actually uses buttermilk. The resulting pancakes are fabulous. Have never seen vinegar/milk used purposely....That's an age old 'substitution' for buttermilk. Interesting. My only objection is that there's a lot of oil used in the skillet. It's not necessary to use so much that it's visible.

Just like everyone else, I love these pancakes. Followed the recipe exactly and they turned out just like I wanted- tall and fluffy. I used reduced-fat buttermilk instead of the milk and vinegar. Since the batter seemed quite thick, I added about 2-3 tablespoons of regular milk. I also added 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. I was careful not to over-mix so that the pancakes didn't end up tough. They looked and tasted so professional, I was impressed. Great recipe!

Great recipe! If you have left over batter - you can freeze it, or better yet cook more pancakes while the griddle is hot and freeze them. Next morning - pop them into the toaster and you have delicious fresh toasty pancakes!
