why couldn't you just prepare these and use a commercial barbque sauce? We like "SWEET BABY RAYS" So much simpler...

Made these yesterday, the recipe was easy and good, though I did a few adds as I like a little kick to my bbq sauce, I added cayenne pepper to the rub and some papkrika sauce (purchased at a Turkish store) and added about 2 tbspns of hot sauce. The outcome was awesome, my b/f and roommate loved it. Thanks

I make mine by putting them in the crock pot, add some liquid (beer or water, etc) salt, pepper and cover ribs in your favorite BBQ sauce. Cook on low for 8 hours... You will love them!

How many time will i click on a recipe saying it's a "Slow Cooker" recipe and the reality is that it is not.A slow cooker is a crock pot, not a standard oven. Also, 15 minutes on each side does not brown the ribs. There is no need to even brown them. If you want a really good way of truly slow cooking ribs just season them how you like then put them in a Slow Cooker on high for 4 hours. after they are done remove from the slow cooker and let stand. meanwhile, make your BBQ sauce . Next, lay your ribs out on a disposable aluminum foil baking pan , coat the top of your ribs with the BBQ sauce then put under the broiler for 8 minutes.

Could you use some liquid smoke to give it that barbarue flavouring without putting it on the grill? Thanks in advance .

I like Rival "Smart Pot" brand. I've only two owned crock pots in over 50 years with no problem. The 1st one I had over 30 years, had was porcelin base. Replaced with new one only because I wanted a metal base. Not sure what area you are in but watch for sales. Was able to buy 6 qt on sale for less than $20 (I've seen these sell between $40-$60 depending on where you purchase). I use mine 90% of the time and it's great for cooking in summer when it's hot and you don't want to have the stove on. Good luck!
