There is a lot of liquid in there and one tsp of salt should not make much of a difference sodium-wise.

At one time, I had a delicious recipe for tortilla soup which included buttermilk. Over the years I lost the recipe and have been trying to find it again. It was given to a friend of mine by a lady who worked at the Clark County School district food preparation center She has since passé away and it seems that no one still has the recipe. Looked on line but found nothing to compare.

How do you adapt for smaller slow cooker. Would just cutting ingredients in half and reducing time to 5 or 6 hours work.

This sounds wonderful and I hope I get to make it. I just am curious can I adjust it for a small 1.5 qt. slow cooker? if so hoe much do I add of everything. I am new at using a slow cooker.

I made this for my husband and son yesterday. The flavor is amazing. It is easy to put together. Yumm. I will make this again.

This looks good and sounds great. However I would add some brown rice to the soup. Also, use chopped tomatoes instead of whole tomatoes. I would not add salt.

I used turkey and white beans instead of corn and added a package of hot chili powder with garlic pepper salt instead of the chili powder, cumin and salt. And I omitted the enchilada sauce.

Good. Recommend upping the spices and to puree the tomatoes in blender so not so lumpy. Adding a bit of cream is good too.
