I think this recipe is far too sweet to be able to make gravy from pan drippings. I baste my ham with a mixture of Heinz 57 sauce & honey. 2 parts sauce to 1 part honey (you can add 1/2 stick of butter) to the mixture but I just use Heinz 57 sauce & honey. Lightly score your ham & place whole cloves then brush on the sauce mixture.

Way too much honey, wasted half of it. All you tasted was honey, didn't really see the point of the other ingredients.

You shouldn't score the ham unless it's not skinned... And then, do not cut through into the meat but only 1/2" into the layer of fat!
