I make mine a lot like this but I use a bit more vinegar and prefer celery seeds over poppy seeds.

I use mayo, dressing is not my favorite. Never used salt or onion ille try that. Prefer a couple grinds of fresh ground pepper and celery seed instead of poppy.

Don't see the point of adding the oil...just more fat and calories to struggle with losing. I use mayo, less sugar, celery seed instead of poppy seed, and onion powder instead of raw onions. The recipe as given might taste like restaurant slaw, but I haven't yet had slaw that had raw onions in it at any restaurant.
