The best pie ever and my family's favorite. My only addition to this recipe is cinnamon that not only is so tasty, but assist the body reduce the impact of sugar.

This is truly my Favorited apple I have done this recipe and so far it is the best apple pie I have made. The only thing i changed was poured the sauce over the apples first and added some cinnamon and nutmeg to the sauce but yes i love this way

I haven't tried this pie yet but I can think of few things I would change. Instead of trying to pouring all the sauce over the crust pour most of it over the apples before adding the crust then spoon remainder onto the crust. I still think this recipe needs more spices like cinnamon and nuteg, (apple pie spice) and maybe reduce the b.sugar in half and make it dark brown instead to get a molasses taste. Hmm now to go shopping so I can try it.

you can buy apple peeler at canadian tire or walmart I just recently bought a new electric one 24.99 cdn.

I have made plenty of different apple pies and this one is by far the best! I brought it to our Thanksgiving dinner at my sisters house and it received many compliments! It's easy to make and delicious to taste!

I thought I knew all there was to know about making an apple pie. I've been proven wrong. This is the absolute tops in my book. I plan to add some dried apricots to my pie (Food & Wine magazine's recipe) though I'll follow most all of this ones ideas. Thanks for this pie notion.
