I sure didn't know pineapples don't ripen after picking. Good to know how to choose a ripe one. Can't wait to cut one using these guidelines. So easy!

According to the Dole Pineapple Plantation on the Hawaiian island of Oahu--pineapples do not ripen at all after harvesting...and it takes about one year for the pineapple to be ready for harvesting...
