Jany, after a four year tour at a USAF assignment in Germany I became fairly "fluent" in the metric measurements. I see no reason for the US to so stubbornly refuse to join the rest of the world 'going metric,,Just as the Canadians did some years ago, US citizens can " just do it!, Now to your question- if I remember correctly, there are 28 grams in an ounce - 8 ounces to a cup so 28X8="224gm.
