i want to par boil, drain and put on cookie sheet and roast until browned could you suggest what seasoning as a side dish

I saved this previously from this website: Glazed Butternut Squash Peel and seed a butternut squash; quarter lengthwise and cut in ½ inch slices. Put slices in a large saucepan, add: • 2/3 cup water • ¼ cup maple syrup • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg • ¼ cup dark rum Bring to a boil, simmer about 15 minutes or until the squash is tender. Use slotted spoon to transfer to a heated serving dish. Boil the cooking liquid until it is thickened. Pour over squash. Can garnish with chopped parsley.
