Couple of things. Don't place in meatloaf pan to much grease stays with the loaf cook on a lasagna pan etc. Also add some pork and veal. Finally glaze the loaf first "Broil" for 5 minutes. Take out loaf than add topping "Reglaze" Broil 5 more minutes than bake 45 minutes. Enjoy

We all have our own fav. recipe for meatloaf! I like to use oatmeal instead of cracker crumbs or dried bread crumbs. Also, I use tomato sauce instead of milk. I never measure and always comes out good but never always the same. There is a recipe that uses dried onion soup and cheddar cheese, I like that one too. Sometimes I put green peppers chopped up. Thats whats nice about meat loaf:):)Never know??

Ha...comical! I love how people always say..."this was awesome, I only changed 6 of the 9 ingredients! If you change the recipe, it's not the same thing!! My meatloaf....1/2 pound venison burger, 1/2 pound Italian sausage, 1 pound 90/10 sirloin. 1 cup milk, 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, 1 egg, half red bell pepper finely diced, half white onion finely diced, teaspoon garlic salt, teaspoon fresh ground black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne, tablespoon Worsteshire sauce, tablespoon ketchup. Knead, spread evenly, bake 375 for an hour. Smashed redskins with scallions and sour cream on the side....add brown gravy and some frsh green beans....meal fit for a King! Enjoy!

Substitute tomato sauce for the milk for a more flavorful meatloaf. You can also add chopped green bell pepper. For those with milk issues, I recommend the tomato sauce.
