I tried this recipe tonight and it turned out perfect!! For someone who doesn't cook, I knew 2 tsp of salt was way too much...thank god i caught that mistake. Other than that, my family loved it! And!, feeding an Italian family isn't easy...they have an acquired taste. Perfect recipe :)

I made this yesterday, my husband and I thought it was a bit to salty. Next time around no salt and I will be using I can of tomato paste instead of 2. But other then that it tasted pretty good. This recipe is a keeper.

This is a good recipe. One of the great things about lasagna is that it is a very versatile dish. It's always fun to play with the recipe a little bit to make it suit your own tastes.

I love this recipe! The only changes I made was to use shredded Mozzarella Cheese since sliced cheese did not streach enough, also I added I added another half a can of tomato paste and another can of tomato sauce because the sauce ran low, other than that I LOVE this recipe!!!! Oh and a table spoon of salt is too much only at a tea spoon if that :)

Tried 'World's Best Lasagna' and it tuned out ok but I would recommend a few changes such as: 1.) salt - Don't add the 1 Tsp salt; you will get plenty in the cheeses, sausage, and tomato sauce. 2.) sugar - Canned tomatoes/paste/sauce have plenty natural sugar... this should leave the sauce a bit tangy. 3. water - Skip the 1/2 cup of water and use red wine (zinfandel or cabernet are good choices...use a chianti for a lighter flavor. 4.) skip the fennel. The sausage will have plenty unless you like a heavy fennel flavor. 5.) finally, 2 pounds of meat is a little too much meat for me. I recommend using 1-1.5 lbs... all sausage would be better. My family did like the lasagna... was it the world's best, not really but hey, it's a quick recipe and most people would enjoy it. Definitely worth a try. :-)

I hardly used any salt at all, and I used 2 eggs instead of one. Turned out really good.

How would you freeze this Lasagna? Would you follow all the steps but not bake it...? or bake it and then freeze it? Thanks.

For those who do not like Ricotta Cheese (such as myself) I use cottage cheese instead.
