Help me! I am not getting the bubbles when we put them on the cast iron griddle (MH heat) so mine are coming out more dense. Flavor is good though. Ideas?

That press is not meant for the making of flour tortillas. It's for corn tortillas. Wheat flour has gluten in it, which makes it elastic, you need to let it rest after kneading for at least 20 minutes covered with plastic, and then roll them with a rolling pin as thin and big as you can, since the tortillas will shrink in diametre and double in thickness as they cook.

I've found that cutting a Ziploc freezer bag in half works better than plastic wrap. The tortillas are much easier to remove.

Try adding coconut milk in place of water. This is how I make it.

We made these the other night and they were good but we live at 8000 feet and they just did not come out as fluffy as on the video. Can someone tell me what to add or reduce to make them rise a little better at such a high altitude?

I forgot: I learned about not putting the dough ball in the center, the plastic wrap with water to stick, and letting the dough ball rest. I am going to add that to my plans with the recipe. Also, I learned from making corn tortillas, on this site, that using a plug in pancake griddle makes cooking many much quicker!
