As well as the cautions against eating undercooked foods, raw food has its benefits. Our bodies need the natural enzymes for good digestion. We eat "raw" fruits and vegetables, right? For raw foods, the more local, the better. Knowing the source of our food is a healthy way to go about eating. I have made this recipe numerous times and the eggs cook perfectly. You don't need to worry. And the taste is delicious.

Not sure the eggs would reach the appropriate temp. Would not recommend for anyone who is pregnant or has a compromised immune system. They are not even allowed to serve soft boiled eggs in hospitals.

I grew up eating this! My mom used to make it because it's a cheap meal and very easy to make. That was back in the 60's! She didn't even pre-cook the bacon! It would cook in the hot pasta along with the egg mixture. I think I like the idea of pre-cooking it though. Top it with lots of Parmesan cheese! My brother and I still love it so much that we make it ourselves now!
