I have tried it and it's fab, quick and easy. I just added a dash of crushed garlic.

Just found this recipe, so I haven't tried it yet--but I'm making it tonight. My policy is to make something as directed first and then modify per taste. Another time, though, I'm going to try adding a little chopped garlic to the warming butter and cream cheese and then adding grated Asiago cheese instead of the Parmesan. Olive Garden has a new "Garlic Asiago Alfredo" sauce on their Endless Pasta Bowl that is WONDERFUL! Perhaps this is similar!

So, Alleycat, my Alfredo sauce would be even less of an Alfredo than this one. I just use a roux (2tbls flour and butter) add 2 cups of milk bring to a boil for one minute. season with salt/pepper/garlic/ parsley flakes, etc...to taste. Add 2 cups of Parmesan cheese shrimp or cubed chicken. Stir in noodles of your choice and serve. Haven't found anything simpler or easier to remember. I guess I just suck!

So glad to have found this recipe. My husband likes his pastas with Alfredo sauce rather than marinara, but the classic Alfredo has eggs and he's stomach can't handle it any more. Thank you sooooo much for this easy alternative, can't wait to try it.

Good grief, it says quick and easy alfredo, so it's obviously going to be different than the original. I'll give it a try!!

Just try it Alley you may like it, They did say "quick and easy" it may not be the original but it's for starters and it looks delicious

Wouldn't even try this. A real Alfredo is not hard to make. The elimination of egg yolks and the use of cream cheese ruins the richness of the original. It may be uick & "easy" but it's not Alfredo.
