cook how long? 3 minutes? 30 minutes? looked like more than 1 tbs of oil to me.

I find that rather than oiling them in the pan, it works better to toss them in a bowl until they are evenly coated, then salt, toss again and then turn out on to the parchment. I also typically cook these at 400 degrees F for a crispier texture, but you need to be sure you're turning them so they don't burn. A couple other good iterations are using pre-washed (although I always wash again anyway) baby kale; and/or adding chipotle chili powder for a little kick and little extra roasted flavor depth.
