I love cranberry sauce and find it is something you can experiment with and always turns out great. I generally subsitute the water with a juice of some kind and reduce the sugar or splenda (I use this most of the time) to 3/4 or 1/2 of a cup if you like the tartness of the cranberries. I have also subsituted 1/4 of the liquid with various liqours such as orange favoured or tequilia. Again addsa very nice variation on the original. After the dinner I use the left over sauce on my yougert.

I just made some and substituted stevia in the green bag (measures like sugar), but waited till it was cooled a little to add the stevia. Tastes great!

12 oz bg fesh cranberies 1 cup orange juice 1 cup of sugar bring to simmer and cook 10 min. made this many years for thanksgiving buffet in restaurant. always recieved great comments. too use splender or other sweetner, most measure like sugar.

When I cook with sugar substitutes, I cook the dish first without the sweeteners. I add the sweetener once I've removed it from the heat. Most taste bitter to me when cooked. I would cool it about 15 minutes, then add the sugar substitute. Cranberries are so good for us but not all that sugar is, so I make mine without the sugar. I've had very good luck doing this with puddings as well. Tastes just like sugar.
