Hi Adam, I tried your recipe but it didn't turn out. The batter was not wet, even after about 15 minutes of beating by my hand mixer, the batter was dry & were in the form of beads & they fry out from the bowl to everywhere. I followed your recipe, the only thing I cut down was the sugar because I'm a diabetic. I put in one cup of sugar. The batter was not creamy like it show in the video. The batter was not enough to cover the apple, so I only used 3 1/2 apples. After I put in the chopped apple, you can hardly see any batter. At this point, I can either put the whole thing in the garbage or in the oven, I didn't want to waste the ingredients so I put it in the oven anyway. I took it out 1 hour later, it is very dry but I can still eat the apple, the whole thing is dry like a big cookie. It taste not too sweet which is good, but in no way you can say it is a cake thought. What did I do wrong? Help Margaret
