Very good!! Watched your video then made a pot of wonderful black bean soup. I added a Tablespoon of pico de gallo and sour cream to my bowl. Thank you for a "keeper" recipe.

I LOVE THIS SOUP, AS WELL AS OUR CHILDREN. YOU CAN USE TURKEY BACON INSTEAD. GOOD JOB AS ALWAYS,CHEF JOHN.

It would be nice to have the recipe ingredients and instructions printed, with the video, since captioning is not provided. A video as presented here--without words or the typical ingredients and instructions--is useless for the deaf.

Delicious. Put salsa on top of sour cream, less work and tasty. With a piece of french bread. Great meal. PS. You started telling us about the hole in the spoon; but didn't finish.

Made as advertised. Delish. Added some sherry at the end. A nice finish, I think. Also added a can of Rotel mild chilis & tomatoes. A great soup.

First day of Autumn and the damp chilly weather kept me in the kitchen- so easy to prepare and followed the recepie verbatim- Wife said, "well, I'll give it a try, but I'm not sure I'll like it". Well, after her second scoop, she finished the pot in front of the fire last evening-

I have often added a can of fatfree refried beans to chili and black bean soups. That way - no mashing but a nice thickening.

Just wanted to know what kind of onion did you use????? Also, did you put kosher salt,regular etc....and last but not least, why the spoon with the hole in it. Thanks
