I would have never thought to eat the stems. I love how that there is really not much waste with this recipe. Also, this is a completely different salad than what I was thinking. I'm definitely going to try this.

Very mild flavor, which was what I was looking for.I cut the broccoli smaller it's easier to eat. I added some shredded asiago and it worked great!

I don't cook the broccoli. I also add bacon bits, cheddar chunks, a dash of sugar, and a red onion... i dice the broccoli very small and add mayo. If you have some party to go to, make it the night before... it's ALL gone when I go to leave. :)
