Chocolate Mint Brownies

In this video, you’ll learn how to make chocolate brownies topped with a simple mint icing. These are perfect holiday treats. Chef John will show you the right time to add the flour mixture to the batter. And don’t worry how the mixture looks initially. It’s an ugly batter that produces a very dense, fudgy, chewy brownie. You’ll also learn how to make a super easy mint icing, and see a trick for drawing a festive Christmas tree made of icing onto your brownies. Get the recipe for Chef John's Chocolate Mint Brownies.

What is the actually ingredients by measurements on this video? I cant hear the audio.

  • Maria

Yeah most of the measurements are missing. This was all I got: one stick of butter, "measured" cocoa and sugar, some vanilla and some salt, two eggs, and all-purpose flour. then the icing is some flour, a little mint extract, and a couple of tablespoons of milk.

I just went on their website and found the measurements! :) 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter 1 1/8 cups sugar 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 large eggs 2/3 cup all-purpose flour For the icing: 1 cup powdered sugar 1/4 tsp mint extract, or to taste 2 tbsp milk
