This is my secnd time cooking this roast. I LOVE this thin Take this fom someone who is not the best cook, but I can follow directions and he's pretty good and easy to follow. I doa little variation (ie veggies and tomatoe paste and herbs), but this things turns SO DELISH!! Try it,you will love it!

This looks great. I usually cook more of a "Yankee Pot-roast" but I believe my husband will like this a lot better. He said this sounds very much like a recipe he loved when he was in the army. I'm shopping tomorrow.

I have looked over many pot roast recipies and have always come back to this one. It's in the slow cooker now and am looking forward to the outcome. The video was most helpful and detailed.. I did add some potatoes to the mix.. Will let you know the outcome after dinner tonight

Hands down one of the very best pot roasts ever! We made a few minor changes to this and used beef broth, left out the tomato paste, no carrots and added a jar of beef gravy awesome! We were very generous with the mushrooms. So important to follow the meat flouring, browning instructions and sauteeing the veggies, and layering everything in the slow cooker as this chef did. I cannot wait to make this again!

Awesome! My roast was delicious. I didn't have any celery and added peas and it was still pretty awesome. Mmmmm.

I made this last week and it came out wonderful.. We don't like mushroom,so didn't have those, just put raw onion, baby carrots, potatoe in the bottom, and then the seared chuck roast on top.. Made gravey after in a seperate pan.. Everything was sooo good, meat just fell apart!! :-)
