since Oct . I requested the recipe for apple raisin bread pudding n this is already Dec. , I would really want to make this apple raisin for Christmas Eve dessert, where n how can I get this recipe? avatar

I halved the recipe. I alo made the folloinchanges: 1. I blended a little bit of each and added to the bread/apple mixture - ginger, allspice, cloves, cayenne, nutmeg, and cinnamon.I aso added 1 tbls. of ground flax and stirred into the bread mixture. 2. Instead of the full am't of milk, I put a little container of vanilla yoghurt in the cup and added milk to make a full cup. 3. I added 1 cap of rum to the milk mixture. 4. I only used half of the brown sugar, or to taste. It's in the oven. We shall see!!!

I coated sourdough bread with a bit of butter and hot chili spice then toasted before adding to the apples. I also added the raisins to the apples to heat a bit before adding the bread. I used coconut milk, closer to 21/2 cups as I used more bread and more apples. ( I have an apple tree:) Spices added to taste... Curry, hot chili, pumpkin pie. I used regular sugar which I added to the eggs and whipped before adding the milk, also whipped. It turned out FABULOUS!! Topped with a bourbon hard sauce.

in med saucepan over medium heat melt 2 tablespoons butter add 2 medium size granny smith apples chopped saute apples in butter over med heat about 5 to 7 minutes {slightly softened} add to pan 3 cups of {slightly hard} bread cubes 1/2 cup of raisins gently toss together in a medium bowl beat together 4 eggs, 2 cups of milk, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 3/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice put apple mixtue in 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, pour egg mixture over it bake in 350" preheated oven for 45- 55 minutes leave the top off for the last 20 minutes for a nice golden crust top serve hot, warm, or cold with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
