I love my pressure cooker. I always brown the meat in the pressure cooker. Then remove the meat and continue with the onions and seasonings. Deglaze with a little wine and use broth instead of water.

The finished product color and consistency, in the bowl with the rice and beans, looks nothing like the chili in the pressure cooker pot. Was something added later that made it a much darker, richer color? I have re-read the recipe several times and do not see anything that would make the difference in the color and texture.
