No more from Chef John. After an hour and a half at 425, the artichokes were not done. Bad recipe. Hope I can rescue the meal. Will let you know what it takes to do this right.

Would this work while camping by submerging in camp fire or using a Dutch oven?

Has anyone tried marinating overnight? I would like to make it ahead of time for a dinner party.

Just made it for my fiance and he gives this recipe 5 STARS, he absolutely loves it and normally he like mayo with his artichokes but not this time, he said no mayo needed. I made him 2, and he's devouring both tonight. So glad I found this recipe, definitely a keeper : )

I made these last week, my family agreed that there was not a better way to eat these. I'm done steaming and boiling...awesome..!

Sounds wonderful and I'll definitely try when our artichoke season begins. The artichokes here in Turkey are much larger so I'm guessing I'll need an extra 30+ min. Not sure how to listen for the "sizzle." By lightly squeezing them in the foil could I get an idea if they are ready (soft enough)??
