Seriously, if you haven't tried the recipe, why comment negatively? In most parts of the world, canned tomatoes are superior to fresh for 11 months out of the year. So using canned tomatoes is NOT tantamount to using Ketchup. Also, the tomato paste is simply concentrated tomato puree so adding the tomato paste adds the depth of flavor that you'd usually get with three hours of cooking. The recipe was intended to give you an idea of what to cook on a Tuesday night when you're exhausted and don't have the energy to cook or when you have to get dinner on the table in less than an hour without resorting to takeout or processed food. I think the phrase "don't knock it until you've tried it" applies here.

Silmilar to mine but I use tomato juice, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Sometimes I throw stewed tomatoes in. Use 2 lbs. Of hamburger, onions, mushrooms, garlic, oregano, basil, and dab of sugar to cut acidity.

You can't make a good sauce in 20 min. It takes me 3 hrs. Garlic and wine,carrots or onion...yuck. You need to brown your meatballs first in oil and add them to 1 can tomatoes 2 cans tomatoe sauce and i can tomato measure from top of pot to top of ingrediants.remember this take a empty tomatoe sauce can and fill with water...add this to the sauce.simmer until you get close to the number you started with. One last tip.the best grated cheese is PICORINO ROMANO....this cheese is amazing...i also use it on my salad with vineger and oil For meat balls,1-lb ground chuck..1-lb ground pork 1 cup plain bread crumbs 1 cup Picorino grated cheese parsely 2 eggs...makes around 20 meat balls,golf ball size....good luck

Any basic Italian sauce has carrot, oninon, garlic, and mabe some wine. The herbs would be added fresh, or only s&p while cooking. And always san marsano tomatoes, crush by hand. The basis of your sauce is good.

I love this recipe...EZ , quick and yummy! I am a vegetarian and have also tried the variations. BTW...dogs don't generally care for spaghetti sauce...Italian or not!
