I agree with Diana... I don't need or want that much alcohol before I sit down for a meal... I can enjoy it just as much without the alcohol. Some people do, some people don't... there's not right or wrong, just what works for you.

Great video! Love the idea to put the mashed potatoes into the slow cooker--that's a lifesaver!

To all my American friends celebrating Thanksgiving, have a wonderful, safe holiday season. Hope your turkey is not dry, your gravy lump free and your WINE COLD! : )

I do a lot of food prepping days before and keep them chilled..(because I'm in retail) I buy the fresh veggies last minute... I don't do a lot of cooking the day OF.. I layback with my wine inbetween getting food heated and the rolls being the last thing in the oven...

LOL.... Diana, you are too funny. So what if you have a tiny glass of champagne. For all that work to make the dinner, that would be the perfect treat by the fire. Seriously, relax! I'll have yours if you don't want it.... my bad........!

Great video, and also love the wine breaks, too! Diana, I do think you're the only one who thinks this is for alcoholics. No one's advocating a whole bottle of champagne. Mimosa's are meant to be a breakfast drink. A single champagne cocktail doesn't equate to alcoholism, and preparing a Thanksgiving feast is certainly an effort worthy of a cocktail.

Am I the only one thinking that this is a cooking video for alcoholics? Champagne before noon and then some wine a bit later. WTH?

Thankfully my husband handles the turkey and stuffing on the grill leaving the remaining sides and the stove for me, while my mother in law brings the pie!
