Thank you for the suggestion of using a cast iron skillet. I had thought of using a George Foreman grill but like the skillet idea. Much appreciated.

I dont have a grill and I use my cast iron grill skillet on the stove to cook steaks and I bet the shrimp would cook well on it too. The steaks taste just like they came off the outdoor grill.

How long will the preserved lemon keep. Dont suppose it would freeze, and would appreciate other uses. Cheers.

The grilled Shrimp recipes look delicious but Chef John, give a thought to us ladies who live along,no family close and dont have a B.B.Q. maybe just mention that "If you dont have a B.B.C.the alternative is. Thank you. Love your demo's.

Wow! Five stars. Lucky I had smoked paprika on hand. No preserved lemons but just sliced half a lemon and microwaved on 60% power in water, sugar and a tiny bit of cider vinegar for 4 min. Served with spaghetti and sauteed bell peppers. Num num.

3 lemons, washed in hot water, cut into 1/8-inch thick slices 1/2 cup kosher salt 1/2 cup sugar Use a glass bowl to layer the lemons and the salt sugar mixture. Let them sit on your counter for 3 days,covered tightly, then you can store in a glass jar. Keep in a fridge. Make sure to remove any seeds before layering the lemon slices with the salt sugar mixture.
