This recipe is so simple, it’s almost foolproof. If you can boil water and move a spoon around in circles, you really can’t mess it up. In this video, Chef John shows you how to make a simple chicken dish with orzo pasta, fresh peas, and Asiago cheese. Just combine cubed chicken with orzo pasta, chicken stock, and dried herbs, and then let the pasta absorb the stock, as you stir occasionally. At the end, you’ll simply toss in thawed peas and some grated Asiago cheese, and you’re done! This is a super quick, delicious one-pot meal that’s perfect for weeknight dinners.

I went to Chef John's website and his site linked to this recipe on 1 cup water 1 (16-ounce) can fat-free less-sodium chicken broth 12 ounces skinned, boned chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces $ 1 1/4 cups uncooked orzo (rice-shaped pasta) 1 cup frozen green peas, thawed 1/2 cup (2 ounces) grated Asiago cheese, divided 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, basil, or oregano 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Okay this is how I made it tonight.... almost 32 oz of Chicken Broth half a box of Barilla Orzo 2 Chicken Breast Some seasoning (honestly forgot) Canned Peas drained Parmesan Cheese Turned out great I put it on top of toast.

I just made this and its tastes amazing, and it's very very easy to make! I used Parmesan cheese instead, since I had the *good stuff* on hand. I also used 1 cups stock, 2 cups water. YUM!

I made this based on the recipe listed here in the comments. I only made one addition - which was to add 2 cloves of garlic. It was good, but if I make it again, I think I'll make a couple of changes. 1.) I think I'll replace some of the water with white wine so give it a little more rich flavor. 2.) I'll add some asparagus. 3.) I think I'll try with a combo of asiago and parm. Overall, it was good, but lacked a little something.
