Chef John's Blackberry Crisp

Watch Chef John turn blackberries into a sweet blackberry crisp. It’s so simple! Combine fresh blackberries with sugar and lemon juice, and pour the sugared berries into a baking dish. Top them with an easy crumble made by combining flour, sugar, cinnamon, and rolled oats with butter. Cover the berries with the crumble and bake. That’s it! This recipe is ridiculously easy. It will come out of the oven crispy and chewy with just the right amount of sweetness. Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I love watching Chef John's videos. I pay close attention to the witty things he says because his humor is sarcastic and cruelly kind! I know that sounds oxymoronic but so does my public name. More power to you, Chef John!

I do not watch videos, I've cooked/baked long enough to follow a printed recipe.
