In this video, you’ll see how to make succulent, Mexican-style shredded beef in your slow cooker. The blend of spices and the low-and-slow cooking method turn chuck roast into spicy, wonderfully tender, fall-apart meat that’s perfect for soft tacos, burritos, and other Mexican-inspired dishes. It gets its spicy punch from cayenne, green chiles, chili powder, and hot pepper sauce. Watch the video, then get CHARLEY357’s top-rated recipe for Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat. Been making something similar for a very long time. After browning the roast, I put it into the crockpot with a jar of salsa. I cook on low until the meat is tender enough to shred with forks. Wrap in a warm tortilla, add favorite toppings... Yum!! I am also going to try this with salsa verde...

Can I do it on the stove top too? Would love to make this, but don't have a slow cooker. :-(

Just wanted to say this is awesome!! I love spicy food and hot but this was a little too hot. I would put 2.5oz or less instead of 5oz of hot pepper sauce it drowned out the rest of the flavor. But still awesome. It was so good and smelt good through out the apartment. I would make this again. Happy Cooking!!

I'm making this right now!!! The smell in the kitchen is making it a really looooooong eight hours. I added some diced pepperoncinis but other than that I did the recipe exactly as laid out in the video. I will update this after I have some soft tacos tomorrow night with company...
