Cooked in a slow cooker and I wrap mine in banana leaves and cook low for 8-10 hours,I do use the liquid smoke and the Hawaiian salt.

The only thing wrong with this recipe is the addition of Liquid Smoke. Folks, I know this item has been on the market for decades, but smoke - any kind of smoke - is carcinogenic. Liquid Smoke on your food is like adding just a dash of poison. Have to advise against it. Otherwise, this recipe is terrific. Liquid Smoke? Why?

I don't like that this goes right to video. They are great for newer cooks and several years ago I would have watched. But, there should be an option for those who do not wish to view to be able to get to the recipe in one click.

Want to try it another way? Put the liquid smoke/salt rubbed meat in a slow cooker, place 2 bananas with peel on (you read that right)right on top of the meat and cook on low for about 10 hours. Perfection every time! The bananas melt into the meat and you simply discard the peels when done. Seriously, this sounds funny but it is wonderful. I served this to 400 people at a wedding I catered and it was phenomenal.

I think one person is talking about degrees in Celsius (150 C) and the other one in Fahrenheit(what we use in North America).
