For crisp bacon dip your bacon in flour then place in a hot skillet n fry as usual or bake the floured bacon in the oven... good stuffor.

it's 4 to 5 minutes,okay!! Serious, 4 to 5 MINUTES each side.

I agree with the last comment it did sound like 45 but common sense prevailed Four to Five it has to be. But this just one of the reasons I like British English. This menu is like a French ramekin dish. Butter bread both sides after removing crusts line tin with bread, place bacon X across bottom of tin, crack an egg in to it. season put a small bread top on with a little cheese and bake.

Yeah actually it DID sound like she said 45 minutes, but anyway... Great recipe! I tried with precooked bacon, turned out great!

great recipe...I like the bacon cooked in the oven too......for 45 minutes...whoops.....

Best way to cook bacon is lay slices on a rack in a pan so the drippings will drop in the pan. Start in a cold oven. Heat oven to 400 degrees and let it cook until crisp and done. Doesn't take long (about 20 mins) and cleaner than cooking in a frying pan. Enjoy!
