For cooldocmom - you can use ground flax seed or the best thing is there is a product you can buy online or some health food stores called The Vegg. Its a vegan egg yolk mixture which is fantastic and will knock your socks off. I even make it to pour over asparagus or just to dunk toast sticks in - it really tastes AND SMELLS just like eggs!

has anyone tried frying these instead of baking them? I usually like frying meatballs as this gives their outsides a nice crispy texture.

I add a pinch, tiny pinch, psyllium husk, or just use vegetarian egg mix not eggs Yes, in Ireland but veggie and not horrified, whatever works is fine To avoid eggs, meat and fish and have good food is my goal Traditions, like language are remade all the time and the purists seem to not realise there are many vegetarians here! Time to change I think.......

This really sounds good but I am looking for a vegan version and I think the egg is really needed to hold it together-would welcome suggestions for substitutes.
