This was delicious. The rare times I have eaten squash, never liked them. However, this recipe is excellent! I have become a fan of squash thanks to this recipe!

I purchased an acorn squash for the first time and was looking for an easy recipe and stumbled onto your video. I appreciated the step-by-step instructions and pace of the video. I prepared the squash as directed and they were absolutely delicious! (I didn't have any maple syrup so I used white corn syrup instead.) Thank you! Gonna fix this for Thanksgiving.

I used pinapple juice instead of orange juice. Also I did not have maple syrup, so I used molasses instead. Hope it turns out well!

hey chef john, happy holidays! just love the video of baked butternut squash. it looks scrumptious! i was just wondering what is the best way to serve the dish? should guest spoon out themselves or should i spoon it out and put in another dish? how do u feel about cutting it up with the skin intact into bite size pieces or strips?

I can't find the written recipes either. Sure would love to. I really like the vegetable recipes that I've seen and the carmel apple pie recipe too.

Acorn squash skin is edible. Did you know that? And the skin holds a lot of vitamins and nutrients, doesn't it?
