In this video, you’ll learn how to make easy turkey chili. Discover why “ground turkey,” which includes dark meat, is preferred in this recipe to “ground turkey breast,” and find out how to wake up the flavors of your turkey meat by sautéing the browning meat together with a special spice mix. After adding the wet ingredients and simmering for at least an hour, you’ll simply add baby pinto beans, simmer for a bit longer, and then adjust seasonings to taste. Then serve, garnished with sliced avocado, chopped cilantro, and a dollop of sour cream. This hearty soup is the perfect way to use up leftover Thanksgiving turkey meat—it’s great for game days or family dinners on chilly fall evenings. Get Chef John’s recipe for Easy Turkey Chili.

I find that if my chili seems too thin for me I can add peanut butter as a thickening agent. It presents a good flavor people will be asking what that flavor is. Same caution for people with peanut allergy though.
