In this video, you’ll learn an amazing technique for making baked chicken Parmesan. This quick and easy chicken Parmesan is baked, not fried. How do we get around frying? The secret is garlic croutons that you sprinkle on top! This little crouton trick makes the recipe easy and fast—and the result is a tasty crust that’s crispy on the top and chewy on the bottom, as the croutons absorb some of the tomato sauce. Put a little cheese on top, bake, and serve. If chicken parmesan seems too complicated to make on a weeknight, try this method. Get Chef John’s recipe for Easy Chicken Parmesan Bake.

this was definitely delis and the fan loved it too, next time I might crush my croutons a little to get it evenly spread over the chicken pieces. Also, I cut the chicken breasts in half if they are big! Yummm!!

Being Italian in heritage, I want to thank you for the recipe. There is one change I would like to suggest for this dinner. A nice quick Antipasto Salad and a bed of Spagetti or Linguini with a tomato sauce - not heavy, but a lite covering on the pasta. I use a recipe for tomato sauce as follows: Diced Tomatoes, Celery, Green Pepper, Garlic, Onion and Olive Oil - about 2 Tbls. Saute in pan for about 10 min to get the ingredients tender, Put over pasta and then put the Chicken Parm on top. UMMM Good!.

Careful--if you want to make this correctly, following the recipe here in the video and NOT the written one. The written recipe tells you to only save half of the Parmesan to sprinkle over the top. It instructs you to add all of the mozzarella before adding the croutons. Consequently, the croutons will burn without the other half of the mozzarella to protect them. I watched the video first but then used the written recipes to make the dish. Unfortunately I didn't remember that the video had different instructions and my croutons burned LONG before the chicken was done.

Very easy, fast, and delish - the family loved it. You can also break up larger croutons for the topping.

We just made this last week. My family LOVED it! I pounded out the chicken and only used 4 chicken breasts in mine. Took a little bit longer to cook than what he said, but I just kept checking with my meat thermometer so I wouldn't overcook the chicken. Use whole wheat croutons...only wish I would have put MORE cheese over the top to make sure croutons weren't falling off. :) Definitely a keeper...my husband's reaction was, "Wow!"

It would be nice if the video was captioned or we could get the written recipe also....I'm deaf, so I couldn't hear what they were saying on the video, so I have NO clue what they were sprinkling in the bottom of the pan or any other parts (the obvious parts, I understood) but I have no idea as to how much of what ingredient to put in! Why don't you also have it written? It would be the right thing to do, cuz even deaf people cook, you know!!!!
