Barb, I use one cup Tapioca "quick cook" starch. Cheap to buy at the Bulk Barn. Makes the bread moist and has no flavour. Rule of thumb. total of 2 cups flour + 1 cup starch for a 2 lb loaf.

I sometimes bake a long with the video and it's usually fun but this video has a mistake. The voiceover says "use three quarters cup of cornstarch." It should actually be one third cup as the posted recipe says. The best accidents happen in the kitchen so maybe it will still be good.

I'm brand new at baking GF. What is potato starch and what can I use for a substitute? I have everything else. Have enjoyed reading all the reviews, but now I'm torn between bread machine and oven baked bread.

I make all sorts of breads in the breadmachine ,only because I do not have to knead my breads. I put everything in the bread machine,set it for quick bread setting. I set my timer for 16 minutes. The bread is mixed by this time,or however long your machine takes. Take the dough out,put it in a oiled bowl to raise. The dough is warm so it rises sooooo nice I have done this for years. I do not like bread asked in a machine!!!

One problem with this video: it calls for 3/4 C corn starch but the printed recipe at the end of the video calls for 1/3 cup of corn starch. Which is it?

When it is for Bread machines I just mix the dough in the Machine, set to manual and once it is all mixed and has risen I put the dough in the bread pan and bake it in the oven, most of the time I make double ore tipple the amount for the whole family. That can be done with normal ore gluten free baked things. Have fun and enjoy

I am interested in seeing if the actual price per serving is any less expensive than the store bought gf breads. I certainly hope so because this looks yummy and I love to make bread!

I wish this wasn't for the bread machine. Either way, I thought this looked just like any GF bread one can buy at the store. However, the average price per loaf is around $5 and it isn't very big. This would save some money. Hope to see more GF recipes that one can make without a bread machine.
