btw the best way to cook chicken wings is to steam them first for 15 mins than bake them trust me it makes your wings so much better!

Just don't try and make it harder than it has to be. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 5 lb of wings 2 cups flour 1 tsp black pepper 2 tsp garlic powder 1 tb salt Mix it all up in a large zip lock bag. Add a few pieces at a time and shake. Put on a pan(s) that you have sprayed with cooking oil to prevent sticking. Keep an eye on the wings, they should be sizzling and golden brown in about 30 minutes or so. If you don't want the flour just dust the wings with the spices after you mix together. The hot sauce is not hard, we used it years before they ever did in Buffalo, I can tell you that. LOL

I tried to look for the basic oven fried too, but even with the recommendations from others where to look I still was not able to find it.

check out his spicy mustard chix wing recipe.. you can do an advanced search under recipes.. chef john at the bottom, and then just wings up top.. you'll see it :)

I couldn't find the recipe for the basic oven-fried wings on allrecipes. If I'm gonna do this, I want to do it right. Am I missing it?
