Here's something else to add to the list of "don't do's" - the butter looked like it was almost melted. Actually, it looked like it was mayo. I've read to make good cookies the butter should be 70 degrees. Maybe this isn't a cookie demo at all - maybe they were making something else like a cake and decided they needed a cookie video and just pulled this one out of a hat. It was also funny when they talked about adding the baking soda and it looks like they dump in about a 1/2 cup of it. Parchment paper is wonderful for making cookies but I have never had to "lightly grease it". Oh well, it was good for a laugh!

If you are a novice cookie baker, do NOT follow the advice on this video (sorry, Allrecipes!). First of all, as Laflautista said, she didn't scrape out her pre-measured ingredients into the bowl. Second, you never use a whisk attachment to make cookies - use your paddle attachment. Third, I have never seen a cookie recipe that includes that many eggs - and, as noted, she did not add them separately, beating after each addition. She didn't move the cookies to a cooling rack, and finally, as already observed, those cookies just don't look that good.

I follow the recipe on the back of the nestle milk chocolate chip package using butter flavored Crisco instead of unsalted butter and they turn out perfect every time! And they look a lot nicer than these too....

When using parchment paper, there is no need for lightly greasing.

I noticed that she did not add the eggs one at a time and most importantly she did not give the list of ingredients and their quantities unless I was missing it completely.
