Looks like a great way to make Stroganoff but I think I might try and skim off some of the fat before adding the cream cheese. Looking at the close-ups it seems a little greasey.

The recipe did not call for cream of mushroom--Golden Mushroom is a broth-based mushroom soup.

Try any cream soup. Cream of asparagus, celery, broccoli or chicken.

Is there anything that I could use in place of the cream of mushroom soup? My husband is allregic to muchrooms, and corn, which is in the soup. Please help!!

Pam Why don't you give Pacific (brand name) ORGANIC cream of mushroom soup.

If you want to make your own cream of mushroom soup, just start with some finely chopped fresh mushrooms, saute in butter or oil, add a few TBSP of flour, stir, add some broth, milk or cream, or a mixture of the three. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook, stirring, until the flour taste is cooked out, about three minutes or so. Presto. You have your own cream of mushroom soup. I do it all the time and it is very, very good.

Look at the quality of that "beef stew meat". That is easily prime. Unrealistic food video. But it looks really good.
