I made them and they would have been great except that I used foil and they stuck and broke. Made them again and used parchment paper but they did get soggy on bottom. anyone Know why? I do agree that you need lemon zest. Even though they became sogg, they were great Everyone loved them.

I can't imagine how anyone could think these are the best lemon bars without any lemon zest in them. I would find them very boring. I like the easy recipe, though, so I will probably make them, adding 2 Tbl of fine lemon zest to the topping.

These are lemon bars, not pineapple bars. Why would you want to substitute? That defeats the purpose of the recipe?
