Love this recipe! The wife and 3 kids voted to keep this one around for future dinners. I altered the recipe slightly.....instead of using 2 cups of Italian bread crumbs, I used 1 cup of - Italian bread crumbs and 1 cup of - Garlic & Herb bread crumbs. And because of the extensive prep and cook time, I highly suggest making this recipe on the weekend versus a weekday when the average family has more time around parents rushing home from work and kids making it home from school.

Cooking these pork chops for 5 min on each side, then baking them for an hour and then another 1/2hr after the sauce seems excessive. I think after they are fried for 5 min on each side, it would be fine to put the sauce on them and bake the whole thing for 40 min or even less would be fine.

I have made these pork chops for years now. However, after browning the chops, I pour the soup-wine mixture over the chops, seal tightly with foil and slow bake at 300 degrees for 1 to 1.50 hours. They come out moist and fork tender - no knives required. They are definitely company-worthy.

Did anyone try this? I would think cooking this @ 350 for 1 1/2 hours would make the pork chops dry?
