If you really want to kick this up to something incredible. Add a couple of spoon fulls of marscapone cream cheese to the mix. Light one works too. Mix it in with the tomato sauce. Then mix everything together and bake.

Im thinking that vegetable, chicken or beef stock could be used instead of white whine. I will def try this dish

Italian sausage has seasoning in it already and you salt the water before cooking the pasta. so extra should not be necessary. I love this recipe, thanks.

Help! Iam an idiot and did this from "memory" from the last time I made it- it was awesome! However, my memory failed me on ONE step and wondering how it will effect the taste and if it can be coorected now. I forgot to simmer the sauce for 10 mins. I kind of just added the sauces, pasta and sausage/onion mixture together!!! I have prepared this ahead of time for baking tomorrow and have it in the refrigerator with NO cheese on top yet- can I fix this blooper by maybe cooking with tin foil covering for additional time, or is it too late to fix it! :(

A TERRIFIC...EASY recipe. We varied with hot turkey sausage. Doubled the wine and drank the rest.....yummmmmmmmy. A fresh loaf of Garlic Tuscan upped the whole meal.

I did find the nutrition info if you just look up the recipe lots of fat and carbs I wonder how much the fat would change if one was to use turkey.
