Chiclet Mary's Meatloaf is delicious. My comment is be sure to bake it the full 2 hours even if you have to turn the oven heat down the last 30 minutes. Otherwise, the onions will still be a bit crunchy. Having low vision I may have chopped my onions a bit too large. Also the delicious glaze needs the 2 hours as well. Thank you for this recipe.

I added 2 tablespoons of sofrito for latin flavor with green peas and carrots and it came out delicious. My family loved it. I'm going to use this again for thanksgiving.

I have been cooking for many years. This receipe is almost what I learned over 60 years ago from a Community Center. It was the first receipe I ever made. Ketchup and mustard is always in the hamburg mix. Also, using my hands is the best way to mix many recipes. The soaps for sanitizing today make my hands cleaner then any wooden spoon can get cleaned

I am about to try this recipe, looks fantastic! And for the negative comments about the videos?....easy, don't watch them if you dislike them so much. It is very helpful to see all the steps, I bet that if the video had skipped the chopping, she would also be complaining. I have learned so much thru this videos, that I am grateful for allrecipes. I cook with my 12-year old son, and my 10-year old daughter and watching the videos help us understand steps that otherwise by just reading a recipe might not be so obvious. Sometimes we spend an afternoon watching this videos. They are going to be great cooks!

No matter how much we already know, we can always learn something new. Instead of complaining, how about complimenting the people who created created the video. Think about the time and effort that was put into creating this video you dislike so much. The music, the voice over, the editing, etc. Instead of complaining or raining down on other people, try to enjoy life. I'm with gbear and Lynda Lee. Be happy, YOLO! Come on... ;)

I wash my wooden spoon with very hot water & dish detergent by hand. I once listened to a cooking show and tests results were that washing a wooden spoon by hand rather than in a dishwasher is safer.

Comment over Oct 8 2013 12:35pm person being concerned over using a wooden spoon with beef and raw egg. It's not like it's raw chicken. . . Though of course there's always chances of any kind of bacteria if you don't clean well. I use boiling hot water to clean my wooden spoons no matter what I use it for. I'm still alive ;)

This recipe looks delicious-will try soon. My only comment is that I appeared she was using a wooden spoon to stir the meat and ingredients which s not considered safe because of salmonella Bacteria in eggs and meat.

Several years ago as a Girl Scout leader, we went camping at a rustic lodge. The dinner chores were split up and two girls were assigned to make the dessert. When they asked how to mix it without an electric mixer, I said, "You'll have to mix it by hand..." Yes, you guessed it. Mixing by hand was taken oh so literally... Haha. Easy to follow videos are for those who don't know how to do something already. We often assume that everyone else knows what we know (the often used and somewhat insulting term "common sense" comes to mind) but it's just not the case.
