Unbelievably soggy. This is a shortened rendition of bread pudding without the nuts, raisins and a couple of other ingredients. Some people don't mind soggy, but I don't care for the taste of sweet, wet bread. French toast done the traditional way is so much better and crisper.

Fantastic! Tried it this weekend and it was super tasty! I put golden syrup which made it even sweeter, but was really good! Thanks!

This recipe sounds amazing, however when I tried it the bread stayed soggy after it was baked? Any suggestions? Thank you!

This is almost the same as the one I make, except a dash of fresh nutmeg makes a big difference in the egg mixture and the topping. I also add cinnamon to the gooey topping. It is so easy that I can make it in my sleep! PS: under all of these there is usually a "get the recipe here" next to a blue title (recipe name). Click it and you have the recipe minus the video. Hope that helps.
