You can boil tomatoes together with garlic so that they absorb better together then use the blender to make the sauce. Additionally after the sauce is made you can dice the onion even further with the blender but not too much so that it still has some chunks. Also, I would recommend a layer of cheese before the placement or in between the placement of the vegetables for a nice cheesy taste.

a great deal of work for a so -so dish why not mix the paste garlic onions salt pepper oil together slice veggies on top sprinkle with salt & pepper then a bit of basil or thyme or rosemary whatever you like drizzle with a bit of olive oil cover and put in oven this one has too many unnecessary steps and way too many little bowls and dishes
