Basic Recipe....for a little more of a "grown up" cheesy taste opt out of the "processed" cheese as stated and substitute for a 3-4 cheese option to suit your palate. Suggestions like Swiss, fresh parmesan, gorgonzola and strong cheddars. Basic Béchamel and add in grated not cubed cheeses as someone else mentioned and voila fantastic mac and cheese.

I'm no wizard in the kitchen, I love to read the recipe and watch the video to avoid any unnecessary errors, especially when I need to follow the recipe in a precise manner. Also I find it helpful to see the tools and pans used. :)

I like watching the step by step instructions. Sometimes I watch the videos more than once.

Instead of cutting the cheese into small blocks, grate it. Add bacon pieces and top with tomato slices and more grated cheese. I've been making mac'n'cheese from scratch for over 40 years so you can all trust that i know what I'm talking about. Basic but very delicious recipe.

If you don't want to watch the video, there is always a link to the recipe (in blue) included in the description of the video.

I like the fact that we can still choose whether to watch the video or not. The only drawback I can see in watching the videos is that by the time three fourths of the video is over with, I am salivating and can't get a dish or a bowl of what I am watching being prepared... guess I got to do it myself. Thank you FN, I have learned much and if dear Mom was still around, we would be watching these together!

I agree. I usually don't have time to watch a video and would prefer the receipe also be shown. Unless it is a really dificult recipe, I can figure it out without a show and tell...lol.

I don't like videos either unless you put the recipe underneath.
